TabFerryPrivacy Policy
Effective 19 August 2026 · Applies to all versions of the TabFerry Chrome extension
TabFerry does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. The extension makes no network requests of any kind. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no advertising.
What TabFerry accesses, and why

TabFerry has no access to the content of any web page. It requests no host permissions, injects no scripts into websites, and cannot read what is on the pages you visit — only the title and address of tabs, and only when you open the extension.
What TabFerry stores
Only your own settings — chosen format, default scope, batch size, theme, and similar preferences. These are stored locally on your computer using Chrome's extension storage.
TabFerry deliberately does not use Chrome's sync storage, so your settings stay on the device where you set them.
No tab data, browsing history, URL, or page content is ever stored.
What TabFerry does not do
- Does not collect personally identifiable information
- Does not collect health, financial, or authentication information
- Does not collect personal communications or location data
- Does not track your browsing
- Does not use cookies
- Does not contain advertising
- Does not sell or share data with third parties — there is no data to sell
- Does not transfer data for any purpose unrelated to its core functionality
- Does not use data for creditworthiness or lending purposes
- Does not execute remote code
Permissions explained

The “Read your browsing history” wording is Chrome's standard description for the
tabs permission. It is required by every extension that can list your tabs, and it
is the minimum permission that makes this product possible. TabFerry uses it solely to read the
tabs you ask it to copy.
Children's privacy
TabFerry collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the change described in the extension's release notes. Because TabFerry collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a change in data practice.
Verification
You do not have to take this on trust. Open Chrome DevTools on the extension, use it normally, and watch the Network tab: it stays empty. The extension's full source is contained in the package you installed — there is no remote code.
